For several years Gillespie-Host Group has embraced the pups of
Pet Harbor Animal Shelter by showcasing them in our real estate
ads. From November into the New Year, saving man's best friend
has been near and dear to our hearts, and we want to generate as
much attention for them as possible.
Each group member has rescued dogs in their own household, as
we believe every dog matters.
We proudly support local shelters. We know first-hand there are
too many unwanted animals, and sometimes there are unforeseen
circumstances that can arise for an individual causing them to
need to relinquish their pet.
As a group we work closely with LaVonne Rodstein who
is instrumental in preparing the rescues to find fur-ever
homes for her dogs, and yet this cannot be done alone.
LaVonne has wonderful volunteers to assist her in this dedicated
cause; dogs come to her from some of the worst conditions, then
they provide numerous hours to socialize them, spay or neuter,
groom and even dental work if needed. These dogs are the lucky
ones. Unfortunately, not all can be saved. The good news is we
can all contribute!

It's not just about adopting a pet; other acts of kindness can benefit
Pet Harbor Animal Shelter as well. Blankets, laundry detergent,
pet beds and monetary donations are always welcome to help
keep these sweet animals safe and loved before they find their
fur-ever home.
