The client recently retired and was offered an early retire- ment package where he received his entire pension paid out over a 5 year period. He only had 2 years remaining on the pension payout and in turn the other banks he spoke with would not use this as his monthly income. SOLUTION: After discussing the details of his situation and finding out that he had a significant amount in retirement plans and invest- ment accounts we were able to understand his full retirement picture. At the end of the 2 years when he was no longer receiving his pension, he would then start drawing on his retirement accounts for his monthly income. Based on the amount in his retirement plans we were able to work with one of our portfolio investors to obtain the approval and lock him into a 30 Year Fixed rate at 3.125% with no points.
