From its overhauled interior highlight- ing airy, flowing living spaces with impeccable custom detail, to its beautifully tiered backyard and panoramic ocean views, the residence is a sublime expression of California coastal living. The hand behind the home's overhaul is Gabriel Miller, an artist, designer, and all-around tastemaker whose latest vision—and revision—is one of a series of exceptional resi- dential transformations he has completed in the area. Like his other projects, Miller applied his fine eye and personal attention to the task. "It's never a job for me," he says of renovating houses with scrupulousness, skill, and style to create inviting spaces with meticulous attention to detail. "It's always a passion project." To that end, this 3,000-square-foot, 4-bedroom, 4-bath Spanish retreat is exqui- sitely and intuitively designed by Miller. The two-story house has a high-tone, low-key feel he describes as "California cool luxury" drawn from warm neutral hues, natural textures, and classic Spanish motifs. From the wide-plank bleached white oak flooring to new custom iron glass doors throughout, the result, Miller says, is something akin to "Spanish drama rises in the Riviera." Agent Rachel Ezra agrees. "Gabriel does it again," she says. "Imagine expansive views that stretch endlessly, where Spanish Monte- cito elegance meets Tulum's raw natural allure. This is warm laid-back luxury, the kind that draws you in—serene, soul-soothing, undeni- ably captivating. Iron arched doors frame the ocean views like a painting. Sunrise lingering, sunset flirting. Every moment in this home feels intentional, unbrushed, intimate." The home presents as unambiguously Spanish, but through a contemporary lens. Its creamy-white "dune-colored" façade is accented in black-trimmed windows, the garage door is warm Beachwood and the rounded entrance reimagined with a custom iron glass door and hand-painted Portuguese tile border. Inside, the now open and exposed rotunda is radiant with natural sunlight along with a candelabra chandelier, highlighting the home's fully reconfigured ground floor. As the province of the home's private spaces, ground level gives way to the polished and well-appointed primary suite with a custom iron Dutch door that opens to a private pavered patio revealing gentle ocean views perfect for indulg- ing a morning espresso, a glass of wine, or just a moment's peace. Functionally, the large walk-in closet with ample storage is the perfect prelude to the sumptuous, hand-troweled micro-cement master bath, a jewel of a space with the hall- marks of a modern spa: a floating tub, a fully enclosed grand shower, and a bidet toilet, in addition to a floating double vanity done in a chocolate espresso-stained reeded wood with a lustrous marble countertop and brushed gold fixtures.
