With an extension of the "Blue Zone" mind-set, these clients don't simply want to read about being responsible and sustainable, they want to live it. The project is currently in development and scheduled to begin construction in the Spring of 2015. Southern California Railway Experience The Southern California Railway Experience is a Mixed Use Urban Revitalization Project centered around the historic Fullerton Train Station. Providing a museum, gallery, educational center and administrative offices, this headquarters for the SCRPA, is also home to the annual Railroad Days celebration of southern California railroad history. A family based urban revitalization project, it's primary aesthetic is derived from the railway iconic, ISO cargo containers which simultaneously serve as the core structural elements in the 6000 sq.ft. building. Respecting the existing Historic Monument status of the existing train station, this new addition harmoniously brings together the past and present of Southern California Railway imagery. The project is currently on the boards and scheduled to begin construction in the Summer of 2015. Raynham Mixed-Use Metro Rail Center The rural town of Raynham, Massachusetts, southwest of Boston, is about to be transformed by a new metro rail station. Supporting the concept of improving and expanding public mass transit and removing automobiles from the road, this development is situated on a10 acre parcel adjacent to the new station. The project vision includes, live-work space, retail, office/commercial use and an artist colony "Abstracted Container Barn" - the focal point of this sustainable development. The use of up cycled shipping containers provides an affordable, heavy gauge steel constructed project that is rooted in the imagery of the numerous Massachusetts barns that dot the landscape. The majority of our building components are fabricated off-site with reduced on-site assembly. The project is currently on the boards and scheduled to begin construction in the Fall of 2015. Jay and Kim Martinez Remodel & Addition The challenge of economically preserving a historic home in need of repair and upgrades to accommodate a new millennial lifestyle successfully satisfied by creating a "veil of glass" addition. Joining the original 1922 Craftsman home and garage with a glass curtain wall wrapped Great Room, the addition is a subtle solution that maintains the focus on the original structures. South Pasadena is a haven for Historic Preservation and careful planning and coordination with the Historic Preservation committee enabled a modern solution to a historic structure. The marriage of old and new creates an invigoratingly fresh home, grounded in rich history. The project is currently under construction and scheduled for completion in the summer of 2015. Players Club Golf The established Players Club Golf is relocating to a larger facility. With 3 PGA Professionals on staff and available for lessons, club fitting and quick tips, their new 3-story, 36,000 sq. ft. facility will be equipped with 15 Premium Quality Full Swing Golf simulators, a fitness studio, locker rooms, restaurant and a Pro Shop. Striving to be the most environmentally conscious golf simulator facility in the US, the project is committed to an aggressive energy conservation and electricity generating strategy. Solar panels will supply 100% of the buildings electric utility needs and there are no costs or negative impacts associated with traditional golf course maintenance. Traditional courses deplete fresh water resources and require an enormous amount of water every day. Combined with the use of plant pesticides that ultimately find their way into the water table, golf courses can be an environmental nightmare. The project is currently on the boards and scheduled to begin construction in the Fall of 2015.
