HOT'S Kitchen
Minimalistic with maximum menu offerings
Eco-friendly and minimalistic décor distinguish this gastropub. Openair windows stand out against the ivory exterior, which features
the restaurant's name in simple black letters.
Inside, there is large
chalkboard to present beer specials, burnt-orange chairs made from
recycled plastic bottles, as well as long and short wooden tables. The
self-proclaimed "surfer meets sophisticate" spot has a surfboard rack,
and is decorated with Bo Bridges' surf photography. Menu items include
over 50 tacos influenced from cuisine around the world.
The Strand House
Comfort and high-end dining combination
This high-end Manhattan Beach restaurant is made chiefly out of glass, and mimics
the look of a beachfront home. A former server says the establishment was designed
for customers to see the ocean from any seat in the house. Mirrors are strategically
placed so that even when patrons sit with their back to the ocean, their backdrop
reflects the view. Natural sky colors bounce off the interior, adding beauty to this
already-breathtaking building.
Light House
Iconic Jazz Landmark meets Bar Scene
Smack in the middle of Hermosa's trendy Pier Avenue establishments
sits an iconic landmark more than eight decades old. The hidden gem
blends in at first glimpse; there are weekly live performances and a
menu that offers distinct beers and bar foods. However, the brick
building once hosted Jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, and even
had its own record label. Redbrick walls that make up the foundation

are the same ones that surrounded Davis when he performed in 1953.
