Openair windows stand out against the ivory exterior, which features the restaurant's name in simple black letters. Inside, there is large chalkboard to present beer specials, burnt-orange chairs made from recycled plastic bottles, as well as long and short wooden tables. The self-proclaimed "surfer meets sophisticate" spot has a surfboard rack, and is decorated with Bo Bridges' surf photography. Menu items include over 50 tacos influenced from cuisine around the world. The Strand House Comfort and high-end dining combination This high-end Manhattan Beach restaurant is made chiefly out of glass, and mimics the look of a beachfront home. A former server says the establishment was designed for customers to see the ocean from any seat in the house. Mirrors are strategically placed so that even when patrons sit with their back to the ocean, their backdrop reflects the view. Natural sky colors bounce off the interior, adding beauty to this already-breathtaking building. Light House Iconic Jazz Landmark meets Bar Scene Smack in the middle of Hermosa's trendy Pier Avenue establishments sits an iconic landmark more than eight decades old. The hidden gem blends in at first glimpse; there are weekly live performances and a menu that offers distinct beers and bar foods. However, the brick building once hosted Jazz musicians such as Miles Davis, and even had its own record label.
