Sunset Strip’s Next Big Thing: Pendry Residences West Hollywood

Luxury is in the details at the Pendry Residences West Hollywood, coming soon to an iconic spot on the storied Sunset Strip.

A prime Sunset Strip locale that once accommodated the House of Blues, as well as a parking lot and some apartments, is now paving a path for the new Pendry Residences West Hollywood by Montage Hotels & Resorts, set to debut this summer. Developed by Combined Properties and AECOM Capital, and designed by Steven Ehrlich and Cuningham Group, the limited collection of private homes priced from $3 to $30 million are currently awaiting occupation by a sophisticated set seeking a turnkey lifestyle with tailored services, and even their very own private music venue (the first such facility in West Hollywood in 20-plus years).

“In the heart of the new Sunset Strip, Pendry Residences West Hollywood promises to be unlike anything else in the city and deliver a new level of fully serviced living in modern Los Angeles,” says Warren Wachsberger, AECOM Capital partner and managing director.

Situated in a private building adjacent to the Pendry West Hollywood hotel—on a terraced site along Sunset Boulevard and Olive Drive that provides breathtaking city views—Pendry Residences offers 40 two- and three-bedroom homes featuring 2,900 to 6,000 square feet of warm yet modern Martin Brudnizki-crafted living space that flows seamlessly to large private verandas.

Select homes include landscaped terraces ranging up to 3,400 square feet, replete with a pool and spa, fire-pit and outdoor kitchen. In each abode, gourmet kitchens boasting Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances encased in custom Cerused white oak cabinetry, and an oversized marble island outfitted with Waterworks fixtures make a statement, as do floor-to-ceiling windows, rift-sawn white oak flooring, and Poliform walk-in closets and dressing rooms. Marble-clad master baths, meanwhile, are showcases for dual vanities, custom millwork and an expansive shower with a Starphire glass enclosure, with each home accessed via a private elevator that connects directly to a private resident’s terrace and secured parking.

In addition to the live entertainment venue, other personalized services and amenities include a rooftop pool and bar, garden deck, screening room, bowling alley, spa and fitness center, and curated art collection. A residential lounge offers a stocked bar and wine-tasting room with private lockers, along with catering and in-residence dining by Wolfgang Puck. Also provided is an exclusive membership to The Britely, a private social club featuring curated lifestyle events, movies and music performances.

“Our owners will have the benefit of urban living within a resort setting, including access to a fully serviced lifestyle designed and tailored to every need and desire,” says Tina Necrason, executive vice president, residential for Montage International. Combined Properties Chairman Ronald S. Haft adds: “Pendry West Hollywood elevates living to an amazing experience…an immersion in L.A.’s creative culture, with a luxurious twist.”
